Created and taught by Jason B. Morgan, a certified Personal Trainer, Children's Fitness Specialist, and Iraq Combat Vet, the Boot Kamp program offers a unique and stimulating atmosphere for children to get active.
Boot Kamp is designed for non-athletic children, and encourages them to get away from "techno-temptations" such as computers and video games.
Utilizing actual military PT drills, along with muscle recognition, class participants not only learn how to exercise, but proper form, and what muscles are used. The class also learned nutrition tips and the proper way to read a nutrition label.
The class is 60 min length, the first 30 min is exercise and education, and the last 30 min. is game time, the class favorite. From familiar games such as Soccer, Baseball, and Dodgeball, to new creations, Infection, Life-line, and class favorite the Gauntlet, class is almost never the same twice.
Parent support for this program has been great, some responses Jason has received have been:
“Boot Kamp is a great program for our son; he’s always excited about what they’ve done, and what they’ll do next time.”
“Boot Kamp is great, finally my boy’s are learning discipline, and the amazing thing is they love it”
“I would like to thank Jason for taking time with my son, his attitude and outlook on exercise changed. He even enjoys going on walks with his mom now.”
“The program has come a long way since it's creation in 2006,” Jason says, “When I first started this class I only had four children, now I have over twenty, and they even have their own class t-shirts.”
Boot Kamp is open for children ages 6 - 11, and cost $50.00 per child (ask about family discounts).
